My most loved spot in Africa is Hwange in Zimbabwe. This is my place of birth and where I was raised. I relocated to Cape Town in 2004 and worked my way into the travel industry. I have a great love for seeing new places, especially through the eye of my camera lens as I am a keen photographer and enjoy combining this with the financial side of the business.

I am proudly South African and really appreciate the opportunity to showcase my country of birth.  As an ex-tour guide and now working full-time for Terra Nova, it is wonderful to assist in promoting South Africa in any which way I can. There are so many beautiful places in this diverse country of ours, from forests to semi-arid areas, our beautiful Karoo and coastal areas to the bushveld.  As a city slicker currently residing in Cape Town, it is so peaceful to retire to a game reserve to enjoy the tranquillity of nature and to recharge the mental battery.

I am a true Capetonian and this city remains my favourite one and a must-visit destination! I am a real water baby and have a great love for the ocean. This brings me to my ultimate favourite place, the fishing village of Kalk Bay, located a mere 30 km from the city. I just love the small boutiques, art galleries and the hustle and bustle of the harbour where one can often view fishermen selling their catch of the day.

I come from the Eastern Cape province of South Africa and enjoy outdoor activities. One of my favourite excursions along the Garden Route is the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour, it is so much fun! Bloubergstrand, just outside of Cape Town city centre, offers postcard perfect views of Table Mountain and great for a beach walk. For shopping, I enjoy a visit to the V&A Waterfront, there is plenty to do and plenty to see, whether you are looking for a nice restaurant, some retail therapy or an exciting activity.
