Include a Social Project or Social Interaction

In today’s world of social media and growing social conscience, people are always looking for something new and worthwhile. They like to help those that are worse off than themselves as it makes them feel good. If the project can have an immediate impact, it is even better because the difference they have made in the community is visible and it is a heart-warming story to tell their friends at home. Our social interaction projects only take half a day or a day. Besides in the major Cities, they can also easily be integrated into a stay at a safari Lodge or Beach Resort. We are in continuous contact with many different projects and make sure we perfectly match the donator and recipient and that the donations are channelled correctly to make the most impact possible.

In April 2011, one of our clients made a big difference by sponsoring soccer kits, consisting of shoes, shirts, socks and balls for a non-profit organisation located in the townships of Cape Town.  Through soccer coaching. the Organisation tackles many of the community’s problems first hand and feels passionate about helping many of the area’s youth and keeping them off the streets. The Academy is not just a football club, it has expanded into a wider range of community activities including tutoring, life skills, mentorships and way out of being trapped in the cycle of gangs and drugs. Not only do they spend time with those children, they also have a feeding programme that ensures that no child stays hungry. They offer about 250 boys a place to go to and something to after school. Our clients enjoyed a fun morning playing soccer with the children and learning more about the daily challenges. They could witness first-hand that the soccer-kits they donated provided the children with a new sense of identity, pride, purpose and belonging.
