Day 1: Bubbly Champagne on Table Mountain and stylish Welcome Dinner

  “Sawubona” – Welcome to South Africa! Arrival in Cape Town around lunchtime. Transfer to your 5* Hotel  – Pepper Club, in the heart of Cape Town, lunch and Check-in. Time to refresh and rest. In the afternoon, Transfers to Table Mountain Cableway and ascend to the top of the mountain, where you are greeted with champagne at a private venue with great views over the city and the coast. The panoramic city tour ends at the famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its many Restaurants, Bars, pubs and attractive shops. Short walkabout, before enjoying a seafood specialty dinner at a restaurant offering views over the Table Bay and Table Mountain.

Day 2: Discovering the Cape of Good Hope

No trip to Cape Town is complete without visiting the Cape Peninsula and the Cape of Good Hope. After a panoramic drive along the famous Chapman’s Peak Road and many photo stops along the way, you reach Buffels Bay in the Cape Point Nature Reserve, from where you depart on a high speed boat trip around the Point. Thereafter funicular-ride to the old lighthouse on top of Cape Point with unforgettable views. Thereafter group picture and certificates at the Cape of Good Hope. After lunch, you can experience African Penguins in their natural habitat. Back in Cape Town, enjoy a typical African dinner with a variety of specialty dishes from the entire continent of Africa and colourful entertainment.

Day 3: CSR Project – Experience South Africa firsthand and „Give Back“ to the Local Communities

You depart with local Township-Guides for a tour, which will enable a deeper insight into the life, culture and problems of life in the Townships. You will meet friendly people, who make the best of each day, despite their adverse living conditions. You will have the opportunity to help people who are less fortunate than we are. There are many ways to help, e.g. build a playground for underprivileged children in a pre-school. How wonderful  to see the thankful and smiling faces of the children.  Return to the hotel in the early afternoon and time at leisure for shopping or relaxation. In the early evening, beautifully restored vintage cars transfer you into the cradle of the wine-growing area. On the drive, you will see fertile valleys and picturesque villages with typical Cape-Dutch architecture. You will we welcomed by an African gospel choir on arrival at the exclusive wine-estate. Thereafter, a gourmet-dinner is served in the exclusively hired and beautifully decorated Manor House of the Estate, paired with fine wines.

Day 4: …into the African bush!

Direct Flight from Cape Town to Nelspruit and transfer to Makalali Game Lodge. Makalali, meaning “Place of Rest” in Shangaan, is a unique conservation initiative to expand South Africa’s green frontier by re-establishing the ancient traditional wildlife migration routes that linked the famous Kruger Park in the east to the lush Drakensberg Mountains in the west. One of South Africa’s premier privately-owned conservation areas, Makalali Game Reserve currently comprises an amazing 61,000 acres in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, close to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Makalali boasts a variety of wildlife in their reserve, including lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, rhino and the rare sable antelope, making Makalali home to Africa’s “Big Five”. On arrival, a laid-back lunch is served on the deck, followed by a first „Big Five Safari” in open landrovers. On sunset, cool drinks and snacks are served in the bush, followed by a drive back to the Lodge with spotlights to find nocturnal animals. Day 5: On Safari in search of the “Big Five”

Depart for an exciting safari adventure just as the sun rises. Most animals are active and can be seen easily on the safari drives. You will be enthralled by the magic and peace of the bush. Every sound becomes relevant and every movement will capture your attention. Along the way, rangers stop at a scenic setting and serve coffee and tea. After breakfast you can relax around the pool or enjoy a spa treatment. Lunch is followed by another afternoon safari. A typical „Out of Africa Dinner” is served around the fire in the open-air boma of the Lodge. With the sound of drums and stars forming a canopy overhead, a typical South African barbecue brings you tantalizingly near to the mysterious night world of the African bush. Lighting enhanced by paraffin lamps and numerous small fireplaces creates a tremendous warm atmosphere. The Lodge choir performs during dinner.

Day 6: Early morning Safari and return home

Early wake-up call for a morning safari drive. In the early hours of the morning, the African bush presents itself with totally different light and colours. Another fascinating safari! Return to the Lodge for brunch. After packing your bags, you can still enjoy a few hours at the pool, before we return to Johannesburg for our flight home.
